What are we doing?

St Martin's has built a gospel choir with a mission to bring the joy of gospel music to churches and communities in and around East Dorset.  We have already sung at West Moors Multi-Activity-Day (MAD) and have bookings for the months ahead.

Through the beauty and exuberance of the music and the message of faith that it delivers we plan to share our joy with others enhancing the welcome that Christianity offers.

We offer the opportunity to you as singers and other musicians who are interested in gospel music to come and share your talents with a like minded group of friendly people.

If you like gospel music come and join us.

Do I need singing experience?.   No, we were all given a voice and with a little practice we can use it better.  There is no audition.

Do I need to be a member of St Martin's or another church?.  No, members of any church, faith or none are welcome, but we will be singing and playing music that has messages about faith.

What is the commitment if I join the choir?.  The choir rehearse once a week in the evening during school term times from 7.15pm - 9.00pm  The choir will also sing at churches or community events approximately once a month.  This may be on a Sunday.

Is there a cost involved?.  Yes, members are requested to make a small contribution to the cost of running the choir.  This is currently £3 per week.

We welcome new singers (all voices) and musicians to the Autumn Term starting on Tuesday September 4th at 7.15pm

The choir at the West Moors Multi Activity Day on July 14th
